I woke up this morning to a Facebook notification on my phone to approve a post on my timeline. I sleepily ‘approved’, opened my computer, and began reading the loveliest post by my great friend, Elise.
Elise’s blog chronicles her adventures as an absolutely life-changing yoga instructor and fitness guru. It feels somewhat ironic to be featured on her blog as a part of her ‘INSPIRE ME’ series because I (and many others) find this woman to be such an inspiration. She is the embodiment of balance, both on and off the mat. I love that she can absolutely kick my tush in yoga and also crush nachos at La Sandia with me. Did I mention she’s seriously the most fantastic yogi ever? Los Angeles friends, if you haven’t already, go take her class. Or if you’re a traveler like me, check out her international yoga retreats (if you’re lucky enough to snag a spot before they fill up)!
I am also grateful to say that after my last post, I ended up getting that job I interviewed for. It’s something new and exciting, and I’m learning so much so quickly. However, it’s also taking up so much time in this beginning stage that I’m not left with much at the end of the day.
It’s given me a new perspective on things as I’m figuring out how to maintain my active lifestyle and make time for my kitchen adventures and writing. In hindsight, I’m kicking myself for not realizing what a treat it was to leisurely stroll to the farmer’s market and spend hours in the kitchen whenever I felt like it! Such is life, though, and this is simply another challenge that will only help me for the better.
Without further adieu, I promise to be back very soon with a flurry of recipes and tidbits. Until then, please take a gander at my first blog, More than a Mouthful, which I no longer update but can still be referred to for food and fitness inspirations.
And with that, I’m late for work!!
